Overnight balance gave way to initiative selling

ETH remained relatively contained inside the uppermost distribution formed late Thursday. That balance preserved Thursday’s higher prices into the cash open, but it did not produce additional upside acceptance. RTH opened with sellers in control and quickly rejected the upper distribution, leaving few meaningful counter-rotations as the auction moved lower.

The first material confirmation was acceptance beneath Thursday’s published 7799.75 Siege Control Line. Price then rotated through Thursday’s 7791.00 RTH VPOC, showing that the prior session’s upper value center was no longer organizing trade. This sequence distinguished initiative activity from a brief liquidity sweep: sellers continued to attract participation as price moved away from the prior distribution.

Thursday’s unfinished structure became Friday’s repair path

The decline crossed the 7769.00 20-day VPOC and entered the structural references left by Thursday’s advance. Friday repaired Thursday’s poor structure and covered Thursday’s open single print at 7753.75. Those were prior-session repair objectives. They should be separated from the new structure Friday created during its own decline.

As Friday continued lower, it independently left new single prints at 7774.50, 7753.75 and 7735.00. The repeated 7753.75 price therefore carries two different chronological roles: Friday covered Thursday’s single print there, then Friday’s own directional auction re-established a new single-print reference in the same area for the next session.

The prior low failed from below

Sellers eventually broke Thursday’s 7717.25 low and released the stops resting beneath it. Price rotated farther south, then retested that prior low from below. Participants rejected re-entry into Thursday’s range, confirming that the broken low had become resistance rather than a successful lower-price rejection.

Price discovery continued to 7676.00, completing a 125.75-point move from the 7801.75 RTH high. Tempo then moderated and the session developed temporary balance in its lower distribution. Friday’s RTH VPOC migrated to 7703.00 into the close, placing the day’s largest concentration of accepted trade well beneath Thursday’s value.

The decision area

The immediate decision area is 7703.00–7717.25, spanning Friday’s RTH VPOC through Thursday’s prior low. Trade within this band represents rotation around Friday’s lower value and a test of the failed prior-session boundary. Acceptance outside it determines whether the next auction repairs Friday’s directional structure or continues lower.

Acceptance above

If buyers establish acceptance above 7717.25, the auction re-enters Thursday’s range and begins testing Friday’s new directional structure. The first repair references are Friday’s open single prints at 7735.00 and 7753.75. Continued repair then reaches 7769.00–7774.50, where the 20-day VPOC converges with Friday’s upper single print.

Sustained trade beyond that confluence would bring the 7781.25–7785.50 composite low-volume corridor into focus. Acceptance through the corridor reconnects the auction with the 7790.00 composite high-volume node and Friday’s 7801.75 RTH high. A probe that cannot hold above 7717.25 preserves Friday’s lower distribution and favors rotation back toward 7703.00.

Acceptance below

If sellers establish acceptance below 7703.00, the first major test is 7676.00. That price combines Friday’s low with the next-session Siege Control Line and a potential LBAF. These labels are forward references generated from Friday’s completed profile; they do not explain Friday’s own response at the low.

Acceptance below 7676.00 opens the 7666.25 micro-composite VPOC and the nearby 7657.75 composite HVN. Those high-volume references should be assessed for renewed agreement before projecting farther. Sustained trade beneath that region exposes the open 7622.50 nVPOC. Rejection of a lower probe followed by a reclaim of 7703.00 would instead return the auction to Friday’s lower value center.

Auction condition

Daily balance is confirmed, while Weekly and Monthly balance remain developing. Friday’s profile records clear downside discovery and lower value migration, but the late balance means the next session must determine whether 7703.00 becomes a durable lower value center or the market begins repairing the thin structure overhead.

The practical framework remains conditional. Above 7717.25, focus shifts to repair through Friday’s single prints and the 7769.00–7774.50 confluence. Below 7703.00, the auction first reassesses 7676.00; acceptance beneath that edge reopens the lower composite and 7622.50 unfinished business.
