Auction Narrative

Sunday's ETH auction opened with a measured rotation back toward the high-volume distribution built inside the prior six-session micro-composite. That 7763–7773 band had represented the most established area of recent two-sided trade. Price initially swept beneath it and printed a 7752.75 overnight low, but the excursion failed to attract sustained selling. Early-morning buyers recovered the distribution, accepted back through its center, and carried the auction toward its northern edge into the RTH open.

RTH began with responsive selling from the upper portion of that distribution. Sellers quickly rejected the overnight recovery, broke through the overnight low, and drove price toward 7725.75–7726.00. That test joined several structural references: the prior week's low, the developing potential LBAF, the lower edge of the four-day balance, and an outside LVN shared by the composite and micro-composite profiles. The level produced the session's clearest price check. Sellers reached the edge, but they could not establish acceptance beneath it.

The response began as responsive buying and developed into initiative activity as buyers lifted price away from the lower extreme. The auction reclaimed the lower distribution and the 7746.50 20-day VPOC, then worked back toward 7763.25. Buyers made repeated attempts to continue higher, but each advance lost efficiency near the upper distribution. The resulting rotations built a double-distribution profile: a lower distribution centered near 7746.50 and an upper distribution organized around 7763.25, separated by a thinner-volume seam.

Late trade crossed back into the lower RTH distribution and closed near its developing value. That migration matters. The rejection of 7725.75–7726.00 prevented immediate downside continuation, but the inability to retain the upper distribution also denied buyers control of the session. Monday therefore confirmed daily balance rather than establishing a directional auction.

This was a clean example of the market moving lower to find buyers and higher to find sellers. Price "shopped" between established areas of acceptance, checking the outer edges before returning to volume. Until the auction establishes acceptance outside 7725.75–7763.25, movement between the two distributions is best treated as inventory transfer inside balance rather than proof of a new trend.

Prioritized Areas of Interest

Upside

  • 7763.25 — Potential LAAF, RTH upper value, and the first test of whether buyers can reclaim the upper distribution.
  • 7771.50 — Five-day VPOC and the next high-volume reference if value develops above 7763.25.
  • 7803.50 — Open September 25 nVPOC above lower-volume composite territory.
  • 7826.25 — Four-day balance high and the outer upside edge of the developing auction.

Downside

  • 7746.50 — 20-day VPOC and lower-distribution value reference.
  • 7725.75–7726.00 — Potential LBAF, prior-week low, four-day balance low, and composite/micro-composite outside LVN.
  • 7718.50 — Open single-print reference beneath the balance edge.
  • 7712.50 — Monthly VPOC and the next established high-volume destination if lower prices gain acceptance.

Conditional Auction Plan

Acceptance above 7763.25: Sustained trade above the potential LAAF would reclaim the upper RTH distribution and expose 7771.50. Continued acceptance there opens the lower-volume path toward 7803.50, with 7826.25 framing the larger balance extreme.

Acceptance below 7746.50: Loss of lower-distribution value would return the auction to 7725.75–7726.00. Acceptance beneath that edge would convert Monday's rejection into a failed defense and expose 7718.50, followed by the 7712.50 monthly VPOC.

Failure at either edge: Rejection above 7763.25 or beneath 7725.75–7726.00 favors rotation back through the opposing distribution. Inside confirmed balance, the response at the edge matters more than the first touch.
