Daily Contextual Analysis & Plan | September 24, 2026
ETH completed the September 21 gap into stacked higher-timeframe value before RTH mean-reverted through the composite distribution and ended daily one-time-framing down.
Thursday began as a continuation of Wednesday’s lower auction, then transitioned into higher-timeframe mean reversion. ETH extended through the still-open September 21 gap and reached a dense cluster of prior value references: the September 18 nVPOC at 7712.50, the Monthly and 20-day VPOCs near 7711.75, and the 10-day VPOC at 7708.75. The overnight auction printed 7707.25 before responsive buyers rejected further downside.
ETH completed the gap auction into stacked value
The overnight decline did more than test an isolated price. It moved into a compressed multi-timeframe value cluster where several independent measures of prior acceptance converged. That concentration gave responsive buyers a structurally credible location from which to act, and the 7707.25 low showed that sellers could probe beneath the cluster without sustaining trade there.
The September 21 gap, which remained unfinished after Wednesday stopped just above Monday’s low, was filled during Thursday’s auction. That removed one downside inefficiency from the map. It did not erase the lower structural references: the 7718.50 single print and poor structure around 7721–7722 remain imperfect and may still attract repair if the market returns to the lower distribution.
RTH accepted the support response and mean-reverted higher
RTH opened after the overnight rejection and spent most of the session accepting trade back above the stacked VPOC cluster. The response developed into a higher-timeframe mean-reversion auction through the composite distribution rather than a fresh initiative trend. Price rotated toward the composite high-volume area around 7755, where prior business had already established a durable center of gravity.
The session advanced through the middle of the distribution and tested its northern low-volume edge near 7776. The daily one-time-framing-down condition terminated at 7783.50, but buyers did not establish meaningful acceptance above the upper distribution. The late return toward the 7755 composite HVN reinforced the mean-reversion read: higher prices attracted supply, and the auction rotated back toward established volume rather than continuing into upside discovery.
Thursday created a conditional balance framework
The developing RTH profile left a potential LAAF in the 7781–7783 area. That reference is provisional until the next auction confirms that sellers will defend it. Acceptance above it would invalidate the upper excess thesis and reopen Wednesday’s repaired low-volume corridor.
The potential LBAF near 7749.25 aligns with Thursday’s VAL and the low-volume seam separating the session’s two principal distributions. It is likewise conditional. Holding above it would preserve Thursday’s higher acceptance; sustained trade below it would signal that the mean-reversion auction failed to create a durable base.
Upside: acceptance above the potential LAAF
The first upside test is 7781–7783. Acceptance above that band brings the 7790.00 composite HVN into focus. Continued trade above 7790.00 would return the auction to Wednesday’s repaired, toothy low-volume region and place Wednesday’s 7826.25 high back in play. Acceptance through 7826.25 would then expose the open September 22 nVPOC at 7832.00.
If buyers only probe the potential LAAF and fail to build time and volume above it, the area remains a responsive selling reference. Rejection there would favor rotation back through the 7755 composite HVN rather than immediate continuation toward Wednesday’s high.
Downside: acceptance below the potential LBAF
The nearest downside decision area is 7749.25. Acceptance below it would place the southern composite LVN and poor structure near 7722.00 in focus, followed by the 7718.50 single print. Continued trade lower would expose the stacked 7712.50–7708.75 VPOC cluster and the 7707.25 overnight low.
If sellers cannot hold below 7749.25 and buyers reclaim it, Thursday’s lower distribution remains a responsive support structure. That would favor renewed rotation toward the 7755 composite HVN and another test of the upper acceptance band.
Auction condition
Thursday confirmed the end of daily one-time-framing down at 7783.50. Weekly and Monthly structure remain in developing balance. The session repaired the September 21 gap and rejected the stacked lower value cluster, but it did not establish a clean upside breakout. The next auction must determine whether Thursday created durable acceptance between 7749.25 and 7783 or only a temporary pause inside the broader two-sided auction.
