Balance formed around the upper composite HVN

Monday’s initiative open drive carried ESZ6 into price discovery and left an elongated profile with multiple single-print zones below. Tuesday produced the next phase of the auction: rather than continuing directly higher or rejecting the breakout, ETH began building two-sided trade around the upper composite high-volume area. RTH maintained that response.

The regular session opened at 7837.00, rotated between 7822.25 and 7848.50, and repeatedly returned toward the center of the developing distribution. Tuesday’s 7832.00 VPOC also became the five-day VPOC. That migration is meaningful because it confirms that the largest concentration of recent executed volume has shifted into the upper distribution. It establishes a developing reference for acceptance; it does not guarantee that the market will remain there.

The auction consolidated rather than reversing

The TPO structure is compact compared with Monday’s directional profile. Value developed around the same upper composite volume concentration that stopped Monday’s advance, and neither side achieved sustained range extension. Buyers defended rotations away from the upper distribution’s center, while sellers prevented acceptance above the prior-session high and the thin upper edge.

This is best described as balance within a higher-timeframe up auction. Monday’s initiative activity created the higher-price location; Tuesday supplied time and volume around that location. The market therefore shifted from discovery into temporary acceptance without producing evidence of a completed higher-timeframe reversal.

Below the balance, 7818.50 and 7811.75 remain open single-print references from Monday. The composite low-volume boundary near 7814.50 is the more important structural line: it separates the current upper distribution from the lower distribution. Trade into that area would test whether Monday’s thin structure is merely being repaired or whether price is being accepted back into the lower composite.

Upside: acceptance through the upper edge

The first overhead reference is Tuesday’s 7848.50 high. Above it, the 7854.50 single print marks thin structure at the upper edge of the current distribution. The August 17 RTH nVPOC at 7862.00 aligns with a lower-volume area in the upper composite, making it the next consequential test if buyers achieve acceptance above Tuesday’s range.

Beyond 7862.00, the thinner composite shoulder near 7871.00 becomes the next area to assess. Stops above 7878.00 may provide fuel if price reaches them, but their presence does not establish direction in advance. Buyers still need sustained trade through each preceding reference.

Downside: repair versus lower acceptance

The 7832.00 VPOC and five-day VPOC form the nearest decision area. Rotation below that center first exposes Tuesday’s 7822.25 low and then Monday’s single-print structure at 7818.50 and 7811.75. A probe into those prices would repair thin structure; it would not, by itself, negate the higher-timeframe up auction.

Acceptance below the 7814.50 composite LVN would be a more material change. That would place price through the boundary between distributions and open the path toward the next lower composite acceptance area, including the 7800.25–7793.75 single-print references and the 7790 composite HVN. Rejection near the boundary followed by a reclaim of 7832.00 would instead preserve the upper balance and favor rotation back toward 7848.50, 7854.50, and potentially 7862.00.

Auction condition

Daily and weekly status remain developing balance in the supplied TPO, while the broader higher-timeframe context remains upward. Tuesday’s auction accepted Monday’s higher location long enough to migrate the five-day volume center to 7832.00, but it did not yet prove continuation through the upper edge. The next directional information will come from whether price gains acceptance above 7848.50–7854.50 or below the 7814.50 distribution boundary.
